December-My return

I am energized by my holiday run/walk with the Valley Stream Running Club. As usually it is a loop around what is now called the RxR plaza tree. Carol and I walked earlier around the tree. I did not want to make my club members jealous of my new found speed.

The breakfast was great: paid dues, did not have to vote for club leaders, said hi to all and talked about future running events. Each member received an ‘Alpine Reversible Beanie’ hat. According to the label this headsweat is made from coconut shells combined with polyester (I am not making this up) which provides superior wicking capabilities. I can not wait to see what happens on my next morning jog.

I did try and take a few photos of the group event I could use a few more tips from Arty Foti.

Tip of the Month

Give dogs their territory. Cross to the other side of the road and pick up some object you can brandish at them. Never try to outrun a dog. Face the dog and keep talking until it appears to be safe to go on.
